AIR ATTACK AND SURVEILLANCE
Air Attack (also called "Bird Dog" or "Lead Plane") aircraft are flown by a specially trained Air Spray pilot who is accompanied by one or more air attack officers who direct how and where our Airtanker aircraft should drop their load of fire retardant. Air Spray's air attack aircraft are equipped with advanced radio systems and high-tech imaging devices to identify areas where a retardant drop is needed to most effectively control the forest fire.
